Fast와 Quick, 쓰임이 같다? 다르다? 최종편

마지막 편으로 Quick과 Fast를 넣어서 글을 써봤다.

(평소보다)이른이라는 뜻을 가진 early도 포함해봤는데

적다보니 굉장히 지루하고 긴 일기 형식의 글이 되어버렸다.

Damn, 쓰임 정도만 파악을 하는걸로~

Yesterday, I finally made up my mind to get up early to be a morning person from today

난 어제 드디어 아침형 인간이 되기 위해 오늘부터 일찍 일어나기로 마음을 먹었다.

because the early bird catches the worm.

일찍 일어나는 새가 벌레를 잡는 법이니까.

I'm not used to getting up early so I quickly turned off the alarm

일찍 일어나는게 습관이 안들어서 알람을 듣자마자 빨리 끄고

as soon as I heard it and I got out of the bed fast.

침대에서 신속히 벗어났다.

It's a pretty good start from the early morning but until it happened.

이른 아침부터 꽤 좋은 시작이었다. 그 일이 일어나기 전까진.

I got dressed fast/quickly to go jogging before I went to work.

나는 출근 전에 조깅을 가려고 재빠르게 옷을 갈아 입었다.

The sky was so clear and blue but all of a sudden, 

하늘이 아주 맑고 푸르렀지만 갑자기

it changed to grey so quickly/fast and started to pour rain.

순식간에 하늘이 어두워지더니 비가 쏟아지기 시작했다.

I quickly ran into a bus stop nearby. I would've been soaked 

난 재빨리 근처에 버스정류장으로 뛰어들어갔다. 

if I hadn't remembered it early that it's nearby.

만약 내가 그걸 일찍 떠올리지 못했다면 흠뻑젖었을 것이다.

However, It didn't take long to realized that it wasn't lucky at all. 

하지만 그게 전혀 운이 좋았던게 아니었다는 것을 깨닫기까진 오래걸리지 않았다.

A car passed by so fast/quickly and water splashed quickly/fast toward me.

차 한 대가 빠르게 지나갔고, 나에게 물이 빠르게 끼얹져왔다.

I was just bewildered that it happened so fast/quickly that I couldn't quickly respond.

빨리 반응하지 못할만큼 너무 빠르게 벌어진일에 황당했을 뿐이다.

My lunch was already on the table when I got home. 

집에 왔을 때 내 점심은 이미 테이블에 놓여 있었다.

I like it that Alice is always quick and do things early.

Alice는 언제나 신속하고 일을 미리 해두는 점이 좋다.

My co-workers never understand that I bring lunch at work everyday

내 직장동료들은 절대 내가 매일 점심을 싸오는 것을 이해 못한다.

because the service is quick/fast and it's more convenient to eat in the restaurant.

왜냐하면 레스토랑에서는 빠르게 준비되고 간편하게 먹을 수 있기 때문이다.

I agree in some ways but Alice doesn't allow me to have fast food anyway.

나도 어느 점에서는 동의하지만 어쨌든 Alice는 내가 패스트푸드를 먹는 것을 허락 안한다.

It's better to say that she doesn't want me to have junk food and get sick or fatter fast/quick.

그녀는 내가 질 나쁜 음식을 먹고 아프거나 빨리 살찌길 바라지 않는다고 하는게 나을 듯 하다.

Anyway, It was still early but I dried my hair fast/quickly and went to work.

아직도 조금 이른 시각이었지만 난 빨리 머리를 말리고 출근을 했다.

Recently, The relationship between Alice and I has changed so quickly/fast.

최근 Alice와 내 관계가 매우 빠르게 달라지고 있다.

I guess it's because I've changed a lot in a bad way.

내가 안좋은 쪽으로 많이 달라졌기 때문이라고 본다.

That's why I decided to start changing for her, such as to become more diligent, 

그게 내가 그녀를 위한 변화를 시작하길 결심한 이유다. 예를 들어 더 성실해지고,

not to drive fast/quickly, to get home earlier, to respond her more quickly/fast,

과속하지 않고, 집에 일찍들어오고, 더 빨리 물음에 대답하면

then our relationship will be great as before.

우리 관계가 전처럼 아주 좋아질 것이라 확신한다.

I hope Alice notices how hard I try to be a better person quickly.

Alice가 내가 나은 사람이 되려고 얼마나 노력하는지 빨리 알아차렸음 좋겠다.
